What German Journey processes: progress stays local in the browser, speech playback runs through the server, no tracking.
What stays on your device
Your progress, bookmarks and settings are stored in your browser, or in your account if you sign in. See Progress for details and a backup option.
What leaves the browser
Only the text you choose to have read aloud is sent to the speech server; it is not stored there.
Update e-mails
If you leave your e-mail address for updates, it is stored only to send occasional notes about the project. It is never shared or sold, and you can ask for its removal at any time by writing to support@germanjourney.app.
External content
Explainer videos are embedded from third parties and may set their own cookies once played.
No tracking
No advertising cookies. The only thing counted is how often the support link is clicked — anonymously, without any visitor identity.
Your rights
You can export or delete your data at any time on the Progress page. For questions, contact the address listed in the Imprint.
